Rapido
“We made a list of the things we all do from the moment we wake up to when we go to sleep, as well as the problems we face every day. That’s when the idea of private transport emerged. Ride sharing and cab booking existed only in big cities, and not for the masses in smaller cities. We started thinking about the common Indian man’s vehicle — that’s how we arrived at the idea of two-wheeler ride sharing.“

About Aravind
Sheer tenacity is at the heart of everything Aravind does and reflects the aspiration he has both for himself, and for his company: To serve under-priveledged populations by finding large-scale solutions for real people’s problems. His mission — combined with founder experience in logistics at The Karrier — led to the birth of Rapido.
As an entrepreneur, Aravind measures his impact by the number of people he can help to create wealth and move up the social ladder. A self-described “son of the soil” entrepreneur, his dedication to spending time in the field, observing, learning from and marketing to customers and prospective drivers in cities across India keeps his perspective fresh, contributing to Rapido’s continual improvement and invention.
