“Being a software engineer was one of the best experiences of my life, but I wasn’t getting the context of what I was building. So I decided to take a risk and go back to school, where I was lucky enough to meet my co-founders. Now I love approaching problems from first principles, although I definitely miss coding every day.“
After graduating with a dual degree in Math and computer science, Aashish, Goldcast co-founder and CTO, wasn't sure whether he wanted to go into academia or try out a career in software engineering. On a whim, he chose engineering, and has never looked back.
At Harvard he met his two co-founders and dropped out to found Goldcast. As a first time founder, he finds himself always learning, from how to build complex software systems to building and maintaining great engineering teams. A native New Yorker, Aashish loves the city and its growing tech scene. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, especially running, biking and hiking.
