About Varun

Varun Khurana caught the start-up bug in Silicon Valley, after graduating from IIT-Delhi and working as an engineering lead, responsible for engineering teams developing cutting-edge software at NetApp. A three-time serial entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in technology, start-ups and general management, Varun founded both Mygreenbox (acquired by Grofers, now Blinkit) and Wirkle Technologies, (acquired by Location Labs), which both sold in million dollar exits.

Founded in 2001, Varun’s vision for Wirkle included a future where mobile devices would be the primary source for accessing data. His predictions were accurate: Wirkle’s patented technology translated websites and other digital content for mobile screens “long before the era of the touchscreen, when Nokia 600s and Motorola still commanded the market” helping to bridge emergent technologies and some of the most disruptive advances in screen-based technology.

Now an independent angel investor himself, Varun is always happy to share some positivity and his hard-won wisdom with budding entrepreneurs.
